New player here. Long time fan of Endless Space. My sons and I play Endless Space multiplayer by using the Steam overlay to invite and it works just fine.



However in Legend... I cannot invite. Clicking the "invite" button on the top right does "nothing at all." And I can't get the Steam overlay to come up either.



On my son's PC, the "invite" button also doesn't work. But he can use the Steam overlay to invite me. When he does, I can respond to that and join just fine. Then the game works with no problem.



But, I'd like to correct this so that I can do the inviting, or indeed use the Steam overlay too.



Any ideas?



also: for what it's worth.. we're trying to create a private multiplayer game.

I had the same problem before, googled it and found that the cause was actually FRAPS. Stop it and everything will be fine.

And for what it's worth... I had to exit the game and exit Steam after existing FRAPS... THEN when reloading Steam and the game... it worked fine.

Thanks so much for sharing the fact that FRAPS caused the Steam overlay not to work (in 64 bit mode)! I hope this can be fixed in the next patch, because I prefer to keep FRAPS running in the background.
