Hello,

My name is Genarro Montano I recently purchased Endless Legend. Since purchase and download I have been unable to run the application. I have opened a case with Steam support who told me to do a uninstall, reinstall and validate local filesystem. I did that and was still unable to launch the game. From there, I reached out to SEGA support who advised me to uninstall my NVDIA driver and reinstall with the latest version. I followed their instructions as well and am unable to run the game. SEGA support then advised me to reach out here to see if there is any follow up or suggested actions you may be able to provide as I still cannot run the game. I am using a GE78 Raider laptop with 1tb disk and NVDIA driver is version 512.15.

Once I launch the game, after about 1 minute the game screen just closes and i do not receive any error, steam still behaves as if the game is running even though nothing happens on my screen. I do not ever receive a game menu, nor does the game ever error out.

Thank you for your help,

Genarro Montano

You could check out the pinned "Common Issues..." thread In tech support area, for to check out the fixes listed over there. Another idea would be to upload your diagnostic file and output log file as described in pinned thread "Reporting An Issue".

Edit: A shot in the dark (as long as you didn't offer the files I wrote from above, at least not yet) is this fix:

"At the bottom left of your computer next to the windows button there should be a search bar. Click on it and type “env”. Then proceed to click on “edit the system environment variables”.There should now be a new window with the words system properties at the top.Click on environment variables near the bottom of the new window. Now click on the “new” that’s just above “ok” and “cancel”.Put "OPENSSL_ia32cap" as your Variable name and "~0x20000000" as value. Now click ok to add it.Proceed to click on ok again this time the one at the window that has the system variables on it.Now endless legend will work."

Thank you for the input,

After some digging through the other threads I was able to come across the same solution for the env vars on my local system. I updated and I can launch the game right now. Thank you for the help
