I've scanned the Steam boards and these support forums and haven't had any luck with the below error in regards to auto-saves/ending turns. I have unchecked "read only' in the \Temp directory, added EL as an exception to my virus software, even created a shortcut on my desktop and added myself as Admin. I have also validated the EL cache via Steam. I love the game, but this is frustrating. For what it's worth, the game does still save, but I can't manually save once I get the red error message. I also get World Generation crashes too. Usually it takes 3-4 starts before one will take. Not sure if it is related, but wanted to provide as much info as I could. Please advise!

HelloPJM40,

It seems there are two different issues here.

1. "Sharing violation on path..." I suggest you to do few tests:

- Re-install the library .Net Framework 4.5.1. You can find the installation program here: /Steam/Steamapps/Common/Endless Legend/_CommonRedist/DotNet/4.5.1

Launch a normal game in order to test.

- Add the Steam common directory to your antivirus exclusions, you can also add the .exe to your excluded programs too.

- Are you using applications like EVGA's Precision X OC or DropBox? Those applications generate the "Sharing violation..." issue, could you please try to deactivate them and relaunch the game?

- You can also try to run the game as an Administrator. You need to create a desktop shortcut, right click on it and "Run as an Administrator".

2. World generation issue

The workarounds that we listed here should fix your issue.

Hi Saylawl,

It "seems" it was my virus protection causing the issue. I've added both EL and the \Temp directory having the sharing violation to my virus protection exclusion and the problem has seemingly been fixed. I've only had one full play-through since trying this fix, so if continued problems persist, I will report back. Thank you for your help!
