On my new Surface Pro 4 (i5-6300u, HD 520, 8 GB RAM), the game loads ok to the main menu. However, it crashes when trying to start a new game (just before the loading bar reaches 100%). The windows error logs point out to the intel driver used in the Surface Pro 4 - version HD Graphics 520 driver update (v20.19.15.4308) - latest from Microsoft.

Moreover, minor graphics corruptions appear at the top of the screen at the main menu if changing resolutions.

On a Surface Pro 2 (i5-4300u, HD 4400, 4 GB RAM), the games runs without issues. The intel driver for this one is HD Graphics Family driver update (v10.18.15.4256) - latest from Microsoft.

Both systems run Windows 10 Pro x64, all updates done. On the Surface Pro 2 I use the native resolution (1080p), on the Surface Pro 4 the resolution used is 1440x900 (native is way too high 2736x1824).

In game settings I use on both Surfaces- visuals on fastest, VSYNC enabled, target frame rate left at default (100), in advanced video tab everything disabled.

Maybe worth mentioning, Endless Space runs without any issues on both (same resolutions used as Endless Legend for each system).
