Hey guys.

Read the title.

I tried changing it to the 32 bit version, but still crashed. I tried to disable my anti virus, but same thing. I even returned the laptop to it´s factory settings (was planning on it anyway), but same thing happend after.

The crash always happens after 15 to 30 minutes, and the game just closes without any error messages or anything. It always happens when i click on something (like the next turn button or empire button). I have all the exspansions installed

Here is something from the dxdiag thing:

Could you take a look at our Troubleshooting thread and list all the steps you've attempted to try and solve the problem?

If you haven't tried any of them yet, please give them a go. smiley: smile

I tried all the things and went into the game. The game crashed 15 minutes later and created a crash folder. The wierd thing is, that for some reason the game was not in 32 bit anymore in the games properties. I´m 100 percent sure I put it in 32 bit version, because i saw it at the bottom of my screen, in game.

The crash folder is called: 2015-12-09_195926

It contains an error textdocument, and output log textdocument, and crash.dmp file.

If you can help me, just tell me what to do.

I uploaded the documents
output_log.txt
error.txt

A couple of questions, seeing your hardware setup and the memory usage being really high in the error log:

- Were you using a specific version before changing it to the 32 bits version, or did you just boot up the game normally?

- Did changing to a 32 bits version cause more, less, or as many crashes? Did they happen faster?

I'm asking because after comparing notes with our producer, 4GB of RAM is enough to have the game run in basic settings, but the more expansions you add, the more demanding the game becomes. Similarly, changing graphic settings could help alleviate your problem. Note however that your laptop is running a 32 bits version of Windows, which means that unless it's running pretty specific software, it cannot use 2GB of its 6GB of RAM.

So in short after answering these two questions I'd suggest lowering graphical settings and/or resolution. Another thing worth trying would be shutting down all other programs you might have running in the background (especially browsers like Chrome/FF) as they tend to eat up a substantial amount of RAM that you can't spare.

Let me know if this helps.

Perhaps I can add some generic info :

- if you're running 32-bit Windows on a machine with 6 GB of RAM, please consider switching to a 64-bit version of Windows

- if you absolutely want to continue using 32-bit Windows for any reason, at least consider the /3GB switch (thus potentially allowing EL to access 1GB more)

Question 1: I booted the game up normally

Question 2: It is hard to say, but if I had to guess. Faster.

I will try to close background programs and lower graphic settings and resolution.

I was running a 64-bit version before i put my laptop back to factory settings. I was getting crashes back then to, so I don´t think it has anything to do with it.

I tried the game i haven´t crashed yet, but now a red box pops up saying " out of memory" 20 minutes in game. Is 3,5 gb not enough?

The minimum requirements are 4GB of RAM, and with the material the expansions added, even that might be stretching it really thin.

I did a /3gb switch after reading this thread /#/endless-legend/forum/13-tech-support/thread/5192-solution-for-outofmemoryexception-on-end-of-turn-on-windows-32bit-version . I played on max settings for 4 hours straight yesterday, did not crash.

Problem solved.
