Today I bought the Shifters expansion, but there was an issue when it was updating: . I figured it was a steam issue so surfing around, for similar issues I saw most people fixed it with a simple reinstall, but otherwise only ran into this issue if they were trying to install it before the release date of the game. As we're a bit after it, I thought that couldn't be right.



So I started to reinstall it -- deleted local files and push the install button. The license agreement props up and I agree, but once I do another if similar issue comes up: "An error occurred while installing Endless Legend (content still encrypted)".



Endless Legends was working fine the day before. I'm currently running a Windows 10 Pro (yeah, I regret it too), 12 gb of ram, more than enough disk space, 1920 x 1080 resolution with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 640. I've made sure I'm running steam on Admin and that associated folders are NOT read-only.



I'd reaaaally like to play the game. Thanks!

I received the same error message when trying to install today.

Please let me know if the following is helpful to you:



I have been able to eliminate it by going into the game's properties and disabling all DLC.

After that, the game downloaded and installed normally.

I then re-enabled all the DLC. Everything appears to be installing and working appropriately now.



I own all DLC except for the most recent (Shifters).

Did you try reinstalling Steam ?

From what I understand, your issue is with installing the game, not with playing it.
