This forum looks pretty quiet, but if anyone is looking to join MP games, the Discord below is currently the most active for EL (disclaimer, I started it).

There are generally 1, maybe 2 schedule matches a week (Weekends often to accommodate both EU and NA time zones in one game) and there are more ad-hoc games that form with only 2-4 players randomly on weekdays and nights. We also play a mix of PvE and PvP depending on skill levels, player interest, etc.

Drop by if you're interested, we can always use more players.

Hey Groo, I literally am one of the most active EL players online right now and I know exactly what is happening on both servers, which is that they (their main admin) are sending us their active players who actually want a game due to the fact they haven't hosted a game there in almost 4 months.

So please maybe visit both servers before you assume?

Hello, I am an active player who has played in both servers - the Endless Legend Multiplayer (ELMP) server and hazmat's Endless Legend - New Players Welcome (ELNP) server. I have been playing in ELMP for over 1 year now and have played with Jojo, Ovetghan, HighLordGrim (ELMP mod), XephiZero, Ivanson, Light_Spectrum, and many more players. After ELMP server started losing players, hazmat invited me to the new ELNP server where our multiplayer games have a very different playstyle of peaceful non-aggressive empire building instead of the extremely aggro turn 30 finish games that used to be played on ELMP. Partly as a result of our more peaceful game style and partly because hazmat and I personally messaged many new players to invite them to our games, the ELNP server has grown a little bit and is now the only active multiplayer server for EL that I am aware of.

The funny thing is that HighLordGrim himself plays on ELNP and also is constantly referring new members in ELMP to join ELNP because he also knows that nobody in ELMP actually plays the game anymore. Ovetghan is another notable highly-skilled player who actively plays on ELNP now.

If my credibility is in doubt, I can share my Steam IGN and game stats and we can play a multiplayer game so that I can show you I'm not just some n00b posting BS.

Thans for clarification. So the most pro-gamers did switch over to the new Discord server. I rember the names you deal with very well. In my case I did stop playing some time ago, for the reasons you pointed out ("rush-gaming" got pretty common).

Most of the Pro ELMP players have stayed behind but they aren't active right now, Jojo is playing Humankind and the others are just quiet or busy I guess. 2-3 of them are regulars at the New Player Discord, but they are willing to play the slower paced games were we aim for a Victory condition like Dust, Science or Wonder.

So if you want to play without major rushing, that is a big part of what we offer =)

After almost 2 whole years, it was time for the server to shut down. Just finished going around to post messages where I had put invites, was a bit slow getting back here.

Check the Amp Discord and you might... have some success finding an invite to an active server, good luck!
