Just to be sure I downloaded the zip file and made a scan myself. I was not able to find any viruses in it. It would also be kinda strange since there are no executable files contained in it. I'm sorry if you are heaving serious computer issues but since this is the first report of this kind in 47 page thread, I doubt its the fault of ELCP.
EDIT:
Watching your screenshot, that file is named "Setup.zip". The ELCP files are not named that way. I dont know what you downloaded, but it wasnt ELCP from this page.

More informative remarks:
I got a virus warning, but made Windows ignore it.
Custom factions: Bonusses by pillars are not applied to golem camp tiles. (At least with the science pillar, the increased values show up on the map, but not on the tile description or in the city menu.) Also, pillars can be placed directly onto golem camps. Not sure if bug or feature.

Here is an attached screenshot.
It is very likely that you made syome sort of mistake during installation. A typical occurence is that the files in the public folder dont get overwritten correctly or the dll files are not in the correct path. The ladder can be verified be readin the version numbe rin the main menu screen (lower left of the screen). As for the public folder issue: please make sure to copy the contents of each sub folder separately, as macos other wise tries to "intelligently" merge the folders instead of overwriting the files.
If it still doesnt work we could try an in depth trouble shooting session via discord.

Ah the files seemed to be the issue. I thought the ELCP folders modified all the files so when I dragged out the originals, the unmodified ones were moved out lol. Works now though! Thanks for the help.
Is there a chance that you can change the "free our people" minor faction quest to instead of just destroy, to destroy or pacify to complete the first part? More then once already it seems if another minor faction quest cause the free our people quest target to be pacify, it will not let me pass or fail the quest. I'm stuck with it unless I destroy the village with the quest or bribe them.
1) In the Research screen in the Arcana of Agility description for Incantation of Haste, i suggest specifying the duration of the buff for the central target. Otherwise, it may seem that this part of the effect lasts only 1 turn.
And also specify that the duration will increase to 3 turns at Arcana level 5.
In the description of each of the five spells (Defense, Haste, Enervation, Deluge, Restoration) indicate their cooldown.
Thus, for example, lead to the following form.
Depending on the Arcana level: +7/+35 {Attack icon} and {Initiative icon} on friendly units in a circle of 1 tile for 2/3 turns {Turn icon} +7/+35 {Damage icon} on target unit for 2/3 turns {Turn icon} Cooldown: 1 turn {Turn icon}
Duration increased to 3 turns {Turn icon} on Arcana level 5.
2) In battle, when Haste of a certain level is applied, I suggest also indicate the duration of the buff for the central target in the spell description.
Thus, for example, for Arcana level 1 lead to the following form.
+7 {Attack icon} and {Initiative icon} on friendly units in a circle of 1 tile for 2 turns {Turn icon} +7 {Damage icon} on target unit for 2 turns {Turn icon} Cooldown: 1 turn {Turn icon}
3) == A visual bug ==
After casting a Haste spell, the attributes show larger numbers than they should be. For example, Centaur Lv 1 with longspear Lv 1 has:
attack 32
initiative 34
damage 28
After casting on them as central target a Lv 1 spell which should give +7 to these stats, I expected to see in the attributes
attack 32+7=39
initiative 34+7=41
damage 28+7=35
However, the attributes that are displayed are
attack 53 (extra 14)
initiative 55 (extra 14)
damage 49 (extra 14)
Nonetheless, the real damage is applied as at 35. It is likely that Attack and Initiative are also applied correctly in the calculations.
And after the end of the Haste spell, the shown attributes are remain increased by an amount equal to the previously described. Although there is no real buffing effect in calculations.
On the example of the same Centaur Lv 1 with longspear Lv 1. Here is what the attributes look like by the 3rd turn, when the spell should have ended
- attack 46 (extra 14)
- initiative 48 (extra 14)
- damage 42 (extra 14)
At Haste Lv 2 which should give +14 to stats, there is visually extra 28 in the shown attributes.
4) == Buffing enemy units ==
Despite the fact that the description of Incantation of Haste states that it only affects friendly units, however, the buff also affects enemy units. Is this a bug? I think this is caused by the following ELCP v2.6.7 change:
Reworked Ardent Mage Spells
All Spells can now hit allied and enemy targets
If this was intended, then the wording "on friendly units" should be removed from the description. And moreover, for the sake of clarity, indicate that the buff affects enemy units too. I have personally encountered the fact that when my unit is close to the enemys and I buff it, it brings more benefits to the enemies than to me. Which is pretty obscure.
5) ELCP v2.6.7 patchnotes state:
Incantation of Haste: Duration increased to 3 on level 5
but in the game spell tooltip says it's not. At level 5, the duration is specified as 2 turns.
At the same time, In unit properties the buff icon disappears after the second turn, but the characteristics remain increased for 3 turns. So this is another visual bug.
Here is the video, watch turns 3 and 4. On turn 3, Eneqa has increased stats (with a visual bug) and deals increased damage. On turn 4, she deals her normal damage
6) In unit properties the tooltip for the Incantation of Haste status effect does not display a value for how much the effect affects the stats. As other status effect tooltip have, for example, Morale. And for the target unit, it does not indicate that the effect increases damage too. As I pointed out above, the duration is erroneously indicated.
Incantation of Enervation
In the Research screen in the Arcana of Authority description for Incantation of Enervation, i suggest making a more detailed description. For example, in the following form
Depending on the Arcana level: Stuns targets in a line of 1/5 tiles for 1 turn {Turn icon} Cooldown: 2 turns {Turn icon} on 1-4 levels, 1 turn {Turn icon} on 5 level

Is that even possible? Not saying it has to be a mod strictly for this community patch mod, maybe just a general mod idea. But I certainly would want an alternative for there to be totally random faction choice for the AI. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure there is an option to totally not have the same races repeat when you play. So if you have that turned on you should never get 2 of the same race in the same game. At least I never have since they patched that in.
I think you misunderstood what I am asking. I want there to be a random select option, not an opposite! True Random selects factions randomly, but never more than 2 of the same race. Which is not true random imo. I ran a few tests, and the game never selects more than 2 of the same race. I feel that there should be an alternate option that is unlimited. Let the AI decide in a bonkers way what races appear. I love some randomness in my games, so maybe I would see like 4 drakkens, 2 vaulters, 2 Cultists and 3 Roving Clans or something. To me, that would make games more interesting and very unpredictable.

LeaderEnemyBoss, in my previous post, in the Incantation of Haste section, I added points 5) and 6) describing a visual bug that occurs at Arcana level 5. Have a look, please.
1) Separate question:
Upon obtaining the Cold Engineering technology by completing Chapter 5, Part 1 of the Ardent Mages faction quest, the Pillar of Speed will decrease Movement Speed Cost on tiles within its range by an additional 50% during winter, but will not decrease movement speed by more than 75%, thus making this effect largely pointless after the first Arcana level.
How about giving Pillar of Speed some real benefit from Cold Engineering? For example, further reduce the cost.

2) Find a bug: After completing the "Wings of Ruins" quest, the Scyther given to the player from the ruins has no "Urkan Slayer 2" capacity, which was given Scyther in ELCP v2.3.3. And this Scyther cannot be retrofited.
3) "Urkan Slayer 3" capacity that Atmos received does not have its own icon with three dots, but uses a picture from "Urkan Slayer 2". Is it possible to give this a proper separate icon?
4) ELCP changelog v2.7.0 says:
The Sisters of Mercy Hero (Valete Sapiri Kugua) has received several buffs:
"Ascetic Warriors" now links to Inspirational Leader (instead of "A Noble's Duty")
But in game "Ascetic Warriors" steel has link to "A Noble's Duty". Is it bug?
5) ELCP changelog v2.6.0 says:
Tower of Truth and Tower of Fidelity have had their pearl cost reduced by 50% (down to 5/10)
But pearl cost for "Mykaran Tower of Truth" and "Mykaran Tower of Fidelity" left unchaged: 10 and 10 respectively. Is that how it should be? Or should the pearl cost be reduced by 50% for them too?

Yes I see. The code for "True Random" actually uses weighting to prevent too many spawns of the same type. Sadly implementing an actual "True Random" isnt possible with simple xml/workshop-style modding, dll modding would be required. Doing it would be pretty much straight forward for someone with moderate programming experience though.

While your diligence is admirable, I would like to remind you, that ELCP is on maintenance mode and will not receive further patches except for serious (!) bugs in the near future. I wont adress tooltips or minor issue for now (issues 1, 2 and 3 in your last post). Issue 4 is very likely a mod conflict, Mods that alter hero trees can cause this. Issue 5 is intended since Mykara Pearl Towers are actually decent.
