As the official tutorials seem rather basic I wonder if there are any modders desperate enough to try modding some new things? The list of my personal stuff-to-test:
- adding reskinned leaders and logos for custom factions (currently in progress),
- adding reskinned architecture for custom factions,
- adding new district improvements,
- adding advanced traits (e.g. Fortress conversion working like Cultists' village conversion).

If you have any more things you'd like to try, tried or would like to try something already listed, feel free to post here. I'll share my results in this thread.

I'm working on a big mod since months (or rather years). But I don't always work on it. I hope to release it one day. When finished.

It add new content (technology, improvements, districts, even new units if I can).

I would like to use the "build on ruins and village" mod, but instead to make it generic, I would like to create a technology that unlock that.

For now I found no way to do that. If you have an idea about that... problem is to change the property of point of interest template when unlocking the tech. I really don't know to do that or even if it's possible.

The problem I found is it is possible to enable building anything generic (at the moment only regular and wonder districts because they do not require a point of interest) over ruins but it is not possible to make ruin-specific district upgrades without enabling the generic ones to be built on top of them (you can build regular districts over extractors and watchtowers and there is no way to disable it, with ruins it is exactly the same problem).

Of course there is a very clear reason for not being able to build over ruins: it may be way harder to explore a ruin with a district on top of it because a city may grow around it preventing access, so it could permanently prevent quest completion. The thing I find disturbing is building districts on all land tiles around the ruin makes it completely impossible to explore them for players not allied with the owner and it is not banned.

What I am aiming at are ruin-only upgrades limited to one per city and with cost increasing with every upgrade built by the player which provide pearls per turn (basically pearl extractors).
