Hi smiley: smile

I would like to know if it's possible to improve/balance the quality of the region in wich we start as a bonus/faction trait or even in the world map advanced settings ?

Like :

- always give a river to Broken Lords 'cuz their first governor skill is about river (and are useless if they dont have one river...) (well, everyone wants a river by the way smiley: biggrin ).

- start in a desert region / dont want to start in a coastal region (if possible).

- Begin with this particular Anomaly.

As you want to focus a Victory, the starting region is very important (a little bit too much if you ask me as a player). I read somewhere : Maybe your first city sucks, but your second shouldn't.

I dont really agree with this, because some players (or even AI) could be have (dis)advtanges.

I know there is the option of "Ideal FIDS place" but i think that's not enough.

Coastal deserts with rivers running through them are the best...

The map generation part of things is a bit ambiguous and obscure at the moment. I hope that's improved so we can more easily mod it.

I'd like to be able to create semi-pre-sets, where you've got like a basic layout, but the geography is randomised. Currently, I'm thinking about a map where it's sort of like a donut, the centre of which consists of several neutral regions, around that is a ring of starting regions, and around that are more neutral regions. Inner neutral regions would be more valuable for strategic and luxury resources, while outer neutral regions would be more valuable for FIDS production, while starting regions have a nice balance.
