I'm fairly new to modding, but I'm willing to learn. For many of us interested in getting our feet wet and get into modding, I was wondering if someone can do a simple step by step guide in making a new factions using assets from existing ones from within the game.



For example, I would like to use the Broken Lords model, but I want traits from the Ardent Mages. As for my military units, I'd like to use the Sister's of Mercy units and model.



I did look through the modding tutorial sections and it was overwhelming. If someone can guide me step by step on what to do to make the changes from creating the modding folder to editing the xml to actually running the mod, it would be a great help to me and many others who might have the same questions.

I don't really know, but the Minor Faction Heroes mod by Kaldyr creates a few new heroes who use the models from some of the minor factions, one being a Sister of Mercy, so if you take a look at that mod then maybe you might get some sort of idea. ^^'
