Enjoying Endless Legend a lot, but can't help feeling that the music, while nice, does get rather repetitive since there are only a small number of tunes available. I bet a lot of people would want a mod which expands on the amount of music playing in the background - is it possible, and if it is, how should I go about it?

Just for the record I'm on a Mac, so files are going to be in different places.

I believe not, as music files are packaged. Currently we only have the ability to modify xml files and add images. Have you tired muting ingame music, and playing music in another application?

EDIT: They are packaged in fsb files, so it is possible to unpack and repack them. It shouldn't be too difficult to change them, however audio may need to encoded as ogg/vorbis.

A tutorial for LoL is here: http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=102831

EDIT2: The music files are missing headers, so extracted audio is unplayable, at least for me. Also note, as you are on OSX, these applications will not work for you.

EDIT3: It should be possible to add files that are different, I will investigate further. They may have to have header information stripped in order to be re packaged.

Maybe an idea: an (optional) linked library for all Amplitude/FlyByNo tracks in the Endless-games?

Thanks for the info, chaps. Seems like something more complex and unreliable than I'd hoped for, and I've also found out that the game doesn't support running more than one mod simultaneously? So it'd be a mod that nobody wants anyway.

If I did make some good additional tracks that fit in nicely with the others and thereby make the whole thing seem less repetitive, is there any chance that the devs might be interested in putting them in the game? I'm trying to see if I can get some marketable experience in music composition.
