Hi again,



Mod description :



Add some globals traits and a big toolkit of little positives and negatives traits. Using it to adjust total cost when missing 1 to 3 traits points.

Balance some traits of original game : making what you gain in negative is equal to what you pay in positive or near.

Provide 100 custom points instead of 85.



Effects have been verified ingame, but Balance isn't drastic.

One trait "Ephemerid" have a zero cost (it's not a bug !).

Full French Localization.

Would it be possible to get a version of this mod without the changes to the point limit or point gain/cost of existing traits?

For now, you can easely edit files because it's well commented, just delete text under commentary , and delete FactionTraits[Affinity].xml (100 pts).

I will work on a way to make quick variants with EL spliter. A way to generate what you ask for with just one click.

Thanks! It's tricky to play around with mod files for me at the moment, so the alt-version is very appreciated.



The Ephemerid trait looks very interesting! I'm guessing you did it with negative unit regeneration? How does that work with things like broken lords units who don't regen normally?

Ah ah ! good question !

I don't know, i didnt test each Trait with all factions, too much combinations.

I suppose the broken lord will loose life too, and probably loose more life than other because they don't have natural regeneration. Easy to test, just launch a game of 2-3 turns.

However, you will notice than some Traits are not fully designed concerning factions.

If you want to cheat a little, you can choose a negative food trait with broken lords, and gain custom points for free, for example.



It could make a good improvement to current version of the mod. I have looked for doing that with foundator memorial trait. But than I saw the code of the game and it's not easy and fun to do. It's like make all combinations with factions exceptions.

I've tryed to put constraint about faction in the traits, I wanted to make a trait reserved to a faction, or give a trait to all factions except one, but I didn't success to do that. I suppose when choosing traits, the game don't have any faction defined yet, so the basic code for constraint (pathprerequisite) don't work.



I've tried to play a little game with ephemerid, because i was thinking the trait was unbalance, too much powerful. But it's a real pain in the ass to have dying units. You are forced to manage carefuly your units. The units need to go back into the city, regenerate here, or on a watchtower. The trait become more powerful if you access to regeneration item stuff.

Hello, I tested on my computer, with and without mod, but all is ok.

There is no modification of arcana traits in my mod, are you using another mod with mine ?

I can list all techs that are bugged, not only arcanas. I tried launching only this one mode and have this problem. Also the same problem with Zen Tractor's traits mod, also loaded separately. I see you are playing in French version, maybe it is just bugged in English?





After last update the problrm with descriptions is gone, I have a question though: I don't see much point in lvl 2 of Expert Miners for 18 pts when I can take Veins of Auriga for 15. Except cases when I want to get them both.
