Make pre-Workshop Mod Available in Game

Okay, I have a mod that I made pre-Workshop. It loaded from the Community folder without a problem and worked great. I'm just now getting back to the game again and see that Workshop has been enabled. Unfortunately, every time I open the mods menu nothing appears anymore.

Since it didn't appear anymore, I re-did the opening XML to conform with the new Workshop requirements and modified the mod to include the new items in the Shifter expansion. I used the --enablemoddingtools launch option and can see "the watermark" in the upper right hand corner. Still nothing. I created the User Generated Content folder and dropped the mod in there. Still nothing. I've checked names ad nauseum, but it doesn't make sense that that would be a problem since it worked before.

Now for the strange part:

I subscribed to a mod that does something similar in the workshop. I found the mod folder in the SteamApps/Workshop folder. I cut all of the files out except the *.ID one, and pasted all of my mod files in instead. Guess what? It loaded right up! Worked perfectly. If I click the i in the corner of the description, Steam leads me back to the downloaded mod as it should.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong with the Community and User Generated Content folders? Could this be something that broke with the latest expansion release?

Thanks for your help!

Chazz

So I posted this thread and gave up to wait for help. I figured I'd at least play using the modded mod. I cut and saved my entire Documents/Endless Legends folder and forced the game to create a new one. I copied and pasted everything that was in my Endless Legends folder originally back into the new one. Voilà! The mod now appears twice in the list. Once as the Workshop Item that I modded over and once in the community folder. What the heck? Anyone else that encounters this problem, I hope will find this thread and try this to fix their non-appearing mod.

Off to figure out the shifters>>>>lol

Hello,

Juste to clear things a bit more.

The Community folder is for personal testing. We kept it to ensure we will not erased mod previous to the integration of steam workshop.

Then we created the User Generated Content folder to allow player to upload their mod on the workshop.

Steam launch option: --enablemoddingtools is required.

A bit more info are given through the modding tutorial pdf.

Cheers,
