As you might have noticed, last week was the gamescom in Cologne, and I had the opportunity to attend. I decided to cosplay as a Vaulter scientist, based on the concept/quest art, mostly because I like Vaulters, but didn't have the time or resources for a full Marine armour. Also, it was already far too hot in the costume I had, so I probably would have been baked in full armour. Still, it was fun.

What I didn't have was a Press/Business pass, since those aren't handed out to just anyone, so I couldn't act on my plan to lurk around the Amplitude booth until they noticed. Still, there were lots of people who took notice and then pictures, although only two asked what game the character I cosplayed was from, and neither knew about Endless Legend.



There's probably some of pictures of me floating about the 'net already, but here's the few that we got hold of, either because we took it ourselves, or got sent them later. (Okay, there are a few more we got, but these are the ones where I look halfway acceptable)







Those were made at the stage for the Mad Max game (as the decal probably gives away). The photographers basically dragged us out of the crowd to get our pictures. If you can't tell, I'm the male one :þ. The other two are my girlfriend and my sister, who both cosplayed for Dragon Age.







This was on Saturday, in the cosplay village. The photo stage belonged to an Anime cosplay convention, thus the domestic setting. There was actually a professional photographer taking photos there, who hasn't sent us the pictures yet, though. So those are the ones taken by his assistant with my friend's camera, which is why I'm always looking away.



We are planning to take some proper photos, with better poses and a good background. Unfortunatly, for me that means waiting about five months until there's actually snow around, so those pictures are for now all I have. Since the other two are planning to have their photo session somewhat earlier, maybe I'll post some more pictures in several weeks, even if they'll have an unfitting summer setting.

Nice cosplay ! Though the best one is Flemeth

While we met a very nice looking Flemeth cosplayer on Saturday, I don't see how you inferred that from the photos.

Hey that's awesome! You should have contacted us via Twitter, Facebook or even email, though we didn't have much access to those during Gamescom. Anyway, I'm sure we would have found a way to let you in the business area (I actually had extra passes).



Looking forward to seeing additional photos as well.

Haha, I guess then that the girl in the middle is something else, but the hairs got me wrong, sorry xD
