This may not be a bug... maybe it is intended, but it seems overly punitive. Even with Closed Borders up, a Cultist army can convert a village if it sits on the border, and many of them do. This is apparently not considered a hostile action, even though it darn well should be. Converting a neutral village is one thing, converting an owned one should be different. On top of that, when I then attack and rebuild the converted village, the Cultist immediately view it as a hostile act and respond with unkind words. No matter how many faces they have, I don't think they should be allowed to have it both ways. smiley: sarcastic

Lastly, there seems to be no way to prevent this sort of territorial incursion as we can not garrison units in villages, though I am not sure even that would deter the tactic. I've seen the Cultist AI continually send small to medium armies to the same contested village. You can, of course, surround the village with units (or partially if you have Closed Borders up) but that looks and seems silly. I also think the villages of assimilated factions should be immune or at least more difficult to convert.
