In introduction(tutorial) it is said that it is impossible to instantly equip new items to non-heroes. That's obviously wrong, because there is such thing as retrofit.

You have to be in your own territory to retrofit, but even still, simply unassign the hero, re-equip them, and then assign them back to their original army. There is no cool down on unassigning.

Thanks for info on another useful exploit/feature. It's one of more obvious ones, but it is hard to find them all by oneself. Probably assigning on non-friendly territory should be banned.
