Or Feature? Luxury and Strategic Resource extractors producing 0.5 resource each

I am playing the largest map setting on easy mode, disabling all victory conditions except for the conquest related victories (capture every capital, or completely conquer all enemies). I set the game to run for 600 turns, and am playing the Wild Walkers. I eventually noticed that all of my strategic and luxury resources were producing at half the rate expected. All of my cities are content or above. I have not been able to find anything that says Wild Walkers are bad at collecting resources (and therefore receive a penalty), and I never noticed this happening when I played my argent mage game previously, so I suspect this may be a bug.

On normal speed games last for a max of 300 turns. If you've changed the game speed to double the length of the game, it wouldn't be surprising if that cuts your resource generation in half to maintain balance.

That seems plausible, although perhaps a little counter-productive and counter-intuitive for the gamer who just wanted more time build his cities and exterminate his neighbors. Since collecting the resources for late-game buildings and armies takes twice as long (hypothetically) on 600 turns, it is like the gamer wants one experience, but the game is giving push-back, thwarting the gamer's intent. Of course certain things (like moving your armies around the map) still has the advantage with increased turns. Unless they make your units slower on 600 turns (read with heavy sarcasm).



Anyway, I still don't even know if that was designed on purpose. I couldn't find anything in the manual that said one way or the other.
