Cultists: No reinforcements from village when attacked

I had 3 units sitting in a village, and an army hanging out right next to them. My army got attacked and it could pull reinforcements from my city several tiles away, but not from the village right next to it.

Bug or Working as Intended?

If you need debug info I think I have a save that can trigger it.

Other random issues:

- I got 4 stockpiles from razing a city and dumped them all into accelerating one building but only the first stockpile seemed to do anything.

- I couldn't figure out how to add units to a minor village garrison. Whenever I tried to walk onto a minor village it just gave me the attack/bribe/parlay/assimilate dialog. I'm remembering now that I didn't go looking for the add-to-garrison button so maybe that was it.

- No ssl on these forums? :'(

Hi Paybara,

Well, villages never come as reinforcements (conversely cities). About the village’s garrison, you seem to have forgotten to convert it smiley: smile If you want to add garrisons into a village as Cultists, you must convert it.

To convert a village, come to it with a Cultists army, pacify it (by attacking, bribing or parleying) then use the conversion button. Keep in mind that conversion has a high influence cost. Once you converted the village, you can put your own units inside as if it was your city.

Good luck with your Cultists reign!

Stockpiles boost the respective output over several turns. Check the cities overall production output, not how many turns to complete the current building shown.

Okay, thanks.

Just to be clear - I had fully converted the village, those 3 units had been built there over 45 turns. I could have pulled them out into an army, but hadn't.

If it's working-as-intended that units defending a village don't come as reinforcements to a nearby battle, but if they were pulled out of the village and standing next to it as an army then they would, that's... frustrating.
