Custom Faction Bugs: Conversion

I tried the Drakken with Conversion (very powerful) but the faction quest requiring me to assimilate 2 minor factions and have 6 pacified villages does not work. I had 2 (also tried 3) assimilated minor factions and 6 pacified villages (excluding converted ones) in my territory but the quest never completes. I am assuming it is because of Conversion but I'm not sure.

Also, all the pacified villages in my empire give population to my capitol city only and not the cities in their region. This is true regardless of whether or not I convert them.

Hello there,

A save with the problem will be very useful for us in order to understand what might cause this.

Thanks a lot!

I tried to reproduce the issue and after getting the fourth chapter I pacified the 2 urces in your region, 1 ceratan is converted in your main region, and 2 haunts were converted outside your borders. 5 villages pacified and built. The quest completed itself.

By any chance do you have a save during the quest in question? You save is at turn 21 and I had to unlock the fourth chapter myself. It might be the event that was corrupted during your experience so a save with the chapter already begun might help us to understand the problem here.

Thanks a lot!

Sorry about that, the save was from earlier than I thought. I'm pretty sure I figured out what breaks it, and I went ahead and broke it again. Unfortunately (?) saving and reloading appears to sort of fix the bug somewhat as it must recalculate populations.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ihaex0xe00f52g/Drak%20-%20Turn%2037%20Broken%201.zip?dl=0

From the saved file:

1) End Turn

2) use the wyvern in Amund to convert the Haunt village. Observe that before and after this, the city has population 3 + 3. Also observe the capitols population.

3) click on the Haunt village after it has been converted (this step is the trigger). Observe that the city Amund now has 3 + 0 population with 6 workers. The capitol now has more workers than it should (I think).

4) End Turn. Observe now that Amund has 3 + 0 population with 3 workers.

I didn't continue, but I'm pretty sure this bug leads to the other quest bug.

The cultists get +1 worker for each converted village, right? So it would make sense to give the capitol the workers for converted villages outside the empire, or all of them, but it must be consistent and clear and now it just seems broken.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the save. I was able to reproduce the bug you describe. We will investigate on this.
