Can't complete Vaulter's faction Quest

Hi guys! First time posting here. So the issue I have is that I can't complete the quest that have you build winter shelter in one of your city.

Not sure if it's happening because I change my holy resource while building it.

And here's the save file.

This bug is a real pain.

It has been reported here and there for quite some time.

We can see the issue in the save but nothing that could explain it and we are totally unable to reproduce the problem on our side.

Therefore it is almost impossible to track and to fix even if it is prioritize as a blocker.

One question though:

Between the quest notification and the "completion" of the winter shelters, do you remember saving and reloading your game?

We suspect an issue with the serialization of data during a save/reload...

As for the question I'm sorry but I'm not sure if I reloaded a save between the things you mentioned or not.

I will load up my earlier save to see if I can recreate the bug and try to find out what caused the bug if that would be of any help!

Edit: It seems that reloading a save does have something to do with this. I completed the quest just fine by building it in one go and not loading a save while building it. Then I load up my auto-save from 2-3 turn before the winter shelter finished building and I'm unable to complete the quest.

I've hit this too... but I built the winter shelter aaaaages ago and only just noticed the quest didn't tick over. I did save&quit after receiving the quest so there's a serialisation cycle involved.

Is there some way to force the quest to re-check its conditions? Or a workaround available? My last save was 80 turns ago and that's the one mentioned above so may already be hosed.

I'm not averse to editing my save - I see a few StepStates (1 and 0) in the quest definition and the target city as a QuestLocalizationVariable... what's the chances that changing the city name and building another winter shelter there will work?

EDIT: ok I ended up setting Inverted="true" in the quest's serialised prerequisite check and that's tricked it into progressing. I assume you guys have this bug in hand now but let me know if I can be any assistance.

Hi,

Not specific to this quest but can anyone update and confirm that the full Vaulter Quest line is fixed?

I am on the Seek Information quest and really would not like to skip all around the map if it's not going to lead to success at the end.

I just finished the rest of the quest line and had no other issues. Ran into a glitch in the final quest but it was more amusing than anything - will post a separate thread
