Stockpile production costs are affected by the game speed, but the booster effect does not change depending on the game speed. I created one on Fast (approx 13k dust buyout) and Endless (approx 30k dust buyout) and they both gave the exact same +875 food once used.



This might be one of the reasons people say that boosters aren't very strong/helpful (especially on higher speeds).

Okay, so the duration of the boosters changes based on game speed.



Fast is 1 round; 1250 production for 875 result x 1 round of booster; 875/1250 = 0.7 rate of conversion

Endless is 2 rounds; 5000 production for 875 result x 2 rounds of booster; 1750/5000 = 0.35 rate of conversion

I think this is because Fast is set to be 4 times slower than Endless and I guess you can't divide below a single turn with boosters.

If the duration of boosters was set to be 2 rounds in a normal game (1 on Fast and 4 rounds on Endless), everything would work again; it would also raise the industry to food/production/science rate up to 70% percent, instead of 35%, which feels a lot better. Right now, it feels to me (as a player) like such a horrible waste to create boosters. But I would probably use them at a 70% rate of conversion.

Only trying to be helpful, because I don't know the vision/intention behind stockpiles, but if the cost for the first stockpiles you can produce is lowered to 500 production, and if the duration of stockpiles is set to 2 rounds on normal (1 Fast, 3 Slow, 4 Endless), then it ends up being a 70% conversion of production to science/production/research across all game speeds and stockpile techs.

Necrophage food boosters are going to have the same problem as they're set to a duration of 1 round.
