Weak Mac performance ...

I've MacBook Pro Retina 15"

i7 2,3 GHz

8GB

Nvidia gt650m (recommended settings says 750m, which is maybe 5% faster)

What can I say .. unfortunate the game is not optimized well. 1280x800, quality lvl good (lover too), vsync off, post processing off, DOF off, EEA off .. and still the game feels sluggish .. I mean, very sluggish .. especially during the battles .. it feels like 20 fps (during battles like 15 fps) .. I play CIV V maxed out on 1680x1050 and it runs MUCH better.

Will it be any better? Because by now I'm merely satisfied :/

I tried run it on Crossover (Virtual Machine) and in menu it feels much smother. But only in menu, because, when I try to generate a new world, an error appears as mentioned in this topic by others: https://www.games2gether.com/endless-legend/forum/13-tech-support/thread/5336-workaround-crash-at-world-generation-identical-world-generation

Best regards.

I would like to second this - I bought it for a relative who's on an IMac, same specs (roughly) as #0* -- performance isn't exactly stunning and the intro videos stutter more than they ought to, seeing as video playback really should be a non-issue on any reasonably modern machine.

I noticed that steam installs Mono alongside the game - perhaps there are some tweaks to pursue in this area with respect to the game engine ? Perhaps you could profile the game, figure out if Mono's garbage collection algorithm or some other aspect such as threading cause otherwise OK algorithms to become a problem when run under OS X (and presumably Linux - where I expect you'll also be using Mono).

I have limited access to the Mac itself, but can test further on Linux as well for Mono-related tinkering and would be happy to if it could net some performance gains for Mac and Linux users.

* I5 instead of an i7, but also 8GB RAM and a GT650M

Agree. As is, the game is unplayable at any setting but 'fastest' on my Mac.

There is a memory leak in there that really slows the game down, really slows it down.
