Here is another 27" iMac mid 2011 with an AMD 6970M graphics card with the problem... the game is unplayable because you cannot save the game. Steam needs to take away the Mac icon until they get this fixed.

One update, I have windows 7 installed under Boot camp on my iMac. I installed the game under windows and there is no menu issue as under Mac OS.

Same here also. No menu since the first mac release (0.7.4). Desktop iMac 27" OS/X 10.9.5.

As Floflo previously said, the game menu actually appears for a fraction of a second, and then the background seems to become the foreground (that's the impression i get from the menu disappearing). The menu is still usable if you remember where to click.

I'd also add that (and it happened only three times) it's possible to go to the save game menu, and when you select an existing saved game to overwrite it, you can't save the game. Instead the existing saved game you select is actually deleted, and you can't save anymore, no matter what new saved game name you type. But as i said, it happened three times, and i would be hard pressed to reproduce it.

Other than that, great game! I only wish there would be some kind of Hall of fame of your own games. (Also something missing from Endless Space)

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the report and sorry for the inconvenience. It is a bug we have to investigate. Are your drivers up-to-date?

Hi, same bug report here, here's a screenshot:

http://puu.sh/bHQQW/8653468bc9.png

The "escape" menu is still working but I think it's hidden behind the background (I see it during 1 or 2 frames before the background appears when I hit the escape key). Also when I let the cursor where the menu should be, the info text still appears.

So I can manage to play the game by blindly clicking.

I installed the game before the final release, and the bug was already present before the update.

Computer specs:

Late 2011 21" iMac

OS X 10.9.5 (just updated from 10.9.4)

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

8 Go RAM

ATI Radeon HD 6770M

Well, my Mac OS is completely up to date. And on the AMD website (my iMac has an AMD Radeon HD 6770M card) when I went to look for the latest drivers, there is a FAQ that says, "Starting with OSX 10.5.x, AMD Radeon graphics drivers are included as part of the Apple OS X installation. Please update your Mac OS X Installation via Apple Update to ensure you have the latest available graphics driver." So since I am definitely up-to-date on my system software, that means I should be up to date on my graphics driver.

If you want any additional hardware info or whatever, feel free to let me know. I'd be happy to do whatever I can to help you figure out what is going on.

I couldn't find the menu on my mac pro desk top. But when I loaded endless legacy on my mac Laptop from steam, an extra request screen popped up and required access. I allowed it to download and the game menu screen is theresmiley: smile

I went back and reinstalled endless legacy on my Mac Pro. I thought it would pop up the option to to get the integration screen. It didn't. I still don't have the menu screen on Mac Pro. Here are a couple of screen shots.

What Tdoggs just posted is exactly what I am seeing as well. Also, like someone else said earlier in the thread, if I randomly move the cursor on that cloudy screen, I do occasionally see pop-ups of various menu options. So it seems the menu is there, just being entirely covered over by what is supposed to be the background.

EDIT: More Complete Specs

21.5" Mid-2011 iMac

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

12 GB RAM (1333 MHz DDR3)

AMD Radeon HD 6770M (512 MB VRAM)

OS X 10.9.5 (updated last night from 10.9.4)

I had never heard of this game until it's official release on steam (saw it pop up as one of the ads when I fired up steam) so I'm playing the release version, having never had any previous version installed on my computer.

So, I went back to my MAC laptop and it work fine...

The only difference is steam has right to control my mac?

I will try giving permission to my desktop and see if that is it.

Yeah, it is not the permission setting. I still can't see the menu on my desktop version. It plays fine on the mac.

Hi all,

Sorry about the issue. The problem is that... we cannot reproduce it at the office. We have to look around us to find a Mac which reproduces it.

If any of you happens to come to Paris with your MacBook, you are also welcome to help us reproduce it.

Thanks

Have y'all tried going full screen? If I play in a window, the very bottom menu (save, start, etc) are almost completely gone (i.e. the top of the button shows up on the bottom of the screen (see SS bottom right hand side of screen). I'm guessing the buttons are there, just out of the visual screen area.

Hello,

I just bought the game yesterday via Steam (Mac user) and I find that once I am in a game I cannot access the game menu. It doesn't matter whether I click on its icon (the little wrench symbol) at the bottom right, or whether I simply hit the escape key. Either way, all I get is a screen fully of a wavy colored cloud looking stuff...but nothing else. No menu, no options, no nothing...just a screen full of colorful clouds.

Am I missing something really stupid? Or is this actually a bug of some sort?

This is on a about a 21.5" mid-2011 iMac running the latest version of OSX (10.9.4). Other than this one oddity, the game seems to run perfectly.

Thanks for any help!

Yeah, a hall of fame listing would be great for both ES and EL.

To recreate the screen bug, I will plug my laptop into my cinema display. I don't have the Screen issue on my laptop. Maybe it is a display interaction issue.

FYI, thx for the offer to visit u in Paris. Maybe, I will take up on the offer next yearsmiley: wink. U will probably have the bug fixed by that time smiley: frown

Isn't there a hotkey for saving?

edit : I just found out that by hovering over that screen I can actually find where the pertinent menus are hidden. Tooltips will tell you where you are. Just click on "Save the current game" and the "Save Menu" will open.
