There's a new release of Mono, MDK-4.0.4.4, which seems to have cured many of the issues that I have had with EL. It is available here. There is also a version labeled as a hot-fix for El Capitan. I am running Yosemite, so someone who is running El Capitan will have to be the guinea pig.



The new release has fixed issues with video, audio, UI, etc. options returning to default after exit. It also appears more stable, in as much as I haven't had a crash with it yet. I hope this works for others.

Unfortunately both the new versions of Mono on the website you provided do not seem to fix the problem. There could be two reasons for this:

A. You need to delete and re-download the game for the changes to appear.

B. The new version does not solve the problem that has occurred from world generation.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. I have not had the world generation problem you described in the other thread. And I did, finally, have a crash after I left the game on overnight, although I went for several hours of playing time without a crash.



There was a reason I said "seems" and "appears" with regard to problems being fixed. For me the game is much more playable, but Amplitude still needs to pull its socks up.
