I just downloaded all the DLC packs including the newest one. Now the game says that I have no mods even though I have five on the steam page as subscribed. I uninstalled all the DLC but this has not solved the issue. Any ideas?

Mods need to be updated to work with newest version of the game (with or without DLCs). Or if you wish to use mods, you can rollback to 1.8.2 by selecting beta branch in Steam properties of the game.

This has nothing to do with mopds needing updates, mod support is just broken on version 1.8.44. 

Same problem on my PC. After the update, the game does "find" the mods anymore.

We have a hotfix for the modding support issue being tested.

However, if you are trying to finish an old game, I would still recommend following Sublustris advice and rolling back until you finish that game.
