I think that was me smiley: stickouttongue

But yeah, I do live stream EL, although I only have one screen on my desktop and mostly don't watch the chat. I can't imagine that I get very many viewers, but it's a good way for me to try and convince my friends to play.

Yes, that was me! Twitch was being kind of laggy, though, so it became a bit of a nuisance to try to keep watching. I think it was because of all the traffic for the EVO championship. It was happening on other streams, too.

I believe I saw you stop by Sokolov's stream the other day! It was fun to see another player!

Hello, I have streamed a few times and have a few videos up on Youtube, though my computer glitched and I couldnt even get on my account for a year, so all my subs left :P

Anyway, depressy things aside I think it would be cool to have a triple stream game, get all of us in one game, maybe more, and all of us stream. Even better if we all have skype, why not all be in the same call for laughs? advertise each others streams and get more viewers due to three stream channels being up not just one?

If you are all interested I will leave my steam and skype info here:

Steam: FullMetalRiku

Skype: Halfdragon95

Other than a couple of crashes, that multiplayer game ended up being far more stable than any of my single-player campaigns. Though at the end it was just me and three AI's anyway. I went with the smaller map, so I wonder if the amount of information on large maps is affecting the stability of the game.

I'm realizing I have no idea how starting a multiplayer game works. If anybody is out there, can you check to see if you can join my game? It's called "Larcent's Twitch Game".

I'm setting up a multiplayer game and will try to stream. It will probably be a disaster, but figured I want to check it out.

Tried to stream again this morning but the game is just irrevocably screwed. Crashing every single turn. So I won't be streaming EL again until the next patch. Ah well! I may stream some other games instead.

Unfortunately the games are a bit crashtastic for me. Not sure about others. I started a new non-streaming game this morning to see if there might actually be an issue with streaming itself (these crashes didn't start until I started streaming). Sadly, first crash in round 61 when trying to buy a hero. It kind of makes it a chore to play. Not sure about watching though.

That explains it! lol You have a pleasant voice and articulation, I hope you keep streaming! It was very nice to watch yesterday when I didn't have the option to play the game myself. smiley: smile And you're right, there are way too few EL streamers!

Anybody thinking of doing this or is doing this? I just discovered that my computer is strong enough to stream it (don't ask me to stream anything really intense though) and am considering whether I should. I've noticed one other guy streaming games on Twitch and that is it.

Yes, I watched your stream for a bit. I went ahead and set up a stream of my own and played for about an hour. Except I neglected to check the box to archive the video in my profile so it's not going to show up on my Twitch archives. Oh well. Live and learn.

Like you, I only have one monitor and I have a mangled old set of headphones whose microphone no longer works. I'll have to pic up a new pair so I can comment on what I'm doing. If anybody stumbles on it who hasn't played it, they probably won't have much idea of what's going on.

I've found that doing both results in a noticeable performance hit, so I intend to record seperate ones from the times I stream and just upload those. I'll probably make a youtube channel and upload to there too and shoutout PANCZASU from the channel as a much more prolific source of EL content.

Yeah, I did get some lag, but not as much as I thought I would. I certainly won't be playing any action games on Twitch though. I got a new headset with a mic and I think I'll do some streaming in a bit. Not sure how long I'll go for.

My Twitch page is here if anybody wants to check it out.

It was fun streaming, though I think the game I'm playing is going to turn out to be a disaster. A couple of folks stopped by. Don't know if they found me from this thread, but I think I'll keep it up to see how things go. This game could definitely use some more streamer attention.

I watched your stream for a bit. I assume you recordered it? I ended up recording one later yesterday evening and uploading to youtube.

Yes. Recorded and I watched it to check out how it looked. Lag wasn't quite so bad (I cleaned out the inside of my computer. The fans were getting a bit dusty). I discovered I say "um" way too much.

I don't think I'm going to go the YouTube route. That's just too much. I don't visualize myself building an audience that wants to watch me babbling on demand. I did archive my two hours of footage from last night.

I'm going to start streaming a gain in a few minutes (5 p.m. Pacific time)

The patch ended up breaking my game while I was streaming. The quests I already had active would not complete. So I had to abandon the game and start over. I ended up in much better positioning with my new game.

I feel that there's a lot of randomness in terms of how the game goes based on what the map contains and where you're placed on it. One of, and maybe the, greatest desires I have is that the map generation and placement be more balanced.

I don't expect a big youtube audience either. But my boyfriend insists I put the videos there rather than on twitch. I think he *wants* a big youtube audience, although I'm about 100% confident I don't have the charisma to pull that off, ever.

Geting big on youtube requires a lot of initial luck to pull off. Sure, you have to upload consistent quality content afterwards but to get out of the <100 view mark you need the luck :P

However you should always put the broadcasts on youtube, since no one looks at twitchs archived highlights, and for some reason twitch uploads to youtube end up being more popular than rgular youtube content because for some wierd reason it attracts a lot of chinese viewers. Yeah I don't know how that works but there's probably some youtube algoriithm bug there.

Also, don't ever look at your audience retention rate stats. You will just get depressed :P

Oh, I watched most of your one YouTube video today. Are you using push-to-talk for your microphone? It cut off quite a bit, I think permanently at one point. I could tell you were still talking because you were using the mouse to highlight various things on the screen, but no idea what you were actually saying for a lot of it.

I was using push to talk, and at one point I ended up using the wrong button :P so that recorded video is mostly lost. Which is probably just as well, I'm pretty sure what I was saying was incredibly inane.

I'd like to try and set it up to not need push to talk, but my voice seems to not get picked up well when I just let it auto-find unless I talk REALLY LOUD, which is inconvenient for my bf and our roommate.

I've been away far too long. Roving Clans are released? Geez. Wish I could watch your stream from here, but the bandwidth at the relatives I'm visiting for the fourth can't support that.

The easiest way, of course, to start streaming your favorite game on Twitch. By simply following the instructions on Twitch, you can easily start your online broadcast. I'am became a streamer just recently and not very well versed in it. But I found an article  https://beststreamerguides.com/how-to-stream-on-twitch-beginners-guide/ which helped me to create an account, set up Twitch properly and launch my first broadcast. If anything, I stream World of Warcraft Lich King. I play in PVE, as an arcane mage and fury warrior. Right now I have only 20 subs but I am glad that I finally started to reach my goal.
