I'm a competitionist. I did my research before buying the game. There are a ton of exclusive content that I get locked out of. I had to buy an extra game to get the Mezrai reskin, the an upgraded edition to get that one extra heroes and minor faction.

I begrudgingly paid up. Because I thought "well they're an indie developer with a lot of goodwill. Maybe they deserve my extra support."

I am even fine with the studio later giving out contents for free that I've paid for, namely the Mezrai. It doesn't take away from my enjoyment. I don't need to lord it over other people.

But I found out about the Endless Day Exclusives? That's awful. It makes me feel like a fool and a sucker having paid extra dollars for an INCOMPLETE PRODUCT.

I hate games that locks me out of content. Why are you punishing latecomers like this? Do your fanbase enjoying excluding people from it? It doesn't matter how good a game is. You've lost any goodwill I had before purchase and after playing the game.

I regret giving Amplitude Studio my money. I will make sure to give the game a negative review because of this, and tell my friends to stay away from your games.

Chill, set your computer date to January, start a game, and get the Endless Day quest.

Are you hungry, OP? ^^ Hunger make people angry. All you had to was to ask nicely. Hell, this community is so cool you actually didn´t even have to ask nicely.

Let´s try to stay polite, and welcome, this is an awesome game from an awesome developer.

I do know about the system reset trick and I am not gonna do it. Because that's cheating. It's probably written in Steam's end-user agreement somewhere that if I did it, Amplitude have the right to revoke my right to play the game completely. I'm not going to give them the chance.

I refuse to support exclusionist contents like this, the same reason I refuse to support pre-order exclusives. It's a consumer's rights issues for me.

Sure I could cheat and get every piece of pre-order content too. But instead of making me cheat the game for it, how about the dev not lock me out of content I've already paid for?

I specifically paid extra, even buying another game, so that I could supposedly get every piece of content in-game, even if it's contents I don't even want. I still should have a right to own it.

I didn't pay for 99.999999...% of the game. I paid 100% for it. Give me a 100% package.

You can´t be that serious about hurting your computer´s feelings, because it has none. You´ll only be cheating the computer clock so that it believes it´s living the Endless Day. There´s nothing exclusionist about it, 100% of people who own the game have access to the content.

How can you have already paid for something that wasn't conceptualized when you bought the game?

Did they tell you up front when you bought the game that they were going to give these Endless Day extras to you? Because if not, you're just randomly venting over something you have no actual right to own. It's just an extra that people who are interested can get.

Also, if this was a troll, good job I guess. If it wasn't...you might want to take long, deep breaths and while waiting for your rational thinking to return to normal.

If your personal code of honor prevents you from changing your clock, you can wait until next Endless Day and get the achievement then. Until then you're going to have to suffer the agony of an incomplete game.

Or you can wait until Amplitude reprograms their game to suit you...

Except Amplitude devs are the ones who have, time and again, explicitly told people to do it. So no.

It's nice to have principles, but this is ridiculous, no offense.

Hey LaSpeakeasi.

If you are afraid that someone from Amplitude Games of Steam will revoke your license of using Endless Legend because you changed your Operational System date, it hasn't happened yet to anyone here, and is not happening ever to anyone. I suspect about at least 20% of the players has unlocked the Endless Day contents by changing the date, myself included. There would be a substantial ruckus stirred up if someone got deprived of their entertainment application, indeed kind sir (╭ರ_•́) As you can read through the whole forums, there was none.

Look here if my words leave doubts in you, or here - dude from Amplitude himself suggests the time change.

If you paid for what you define as 100% of the game content, then first of all you can find such phrase in end user agreement and sue Amplitude for breaching their rights and violating yours. I hardly see either of those successful.

Also, as you will see in the game, there are Legendary Deeds that grant certain bonuses to a player who completes them first. Not getting them as the first also locks you from a certain part of the content in a particular match. You are free to sue Wild Walkers or Necrophages for building Megapole before you and preventing you from enjoying what you defined as 100% of the content.

It would be a shame if you let go an occasion to play such an awesome game as Endless Legend, and at the same time none of us will force you to play against your rules. Your choice smiley: smile We will greet you with open arms should you decide to stay and bid you warm farewell if you choose to move on!

Cheers, mate.

First : as others said, perhaps you need to take a deep breath first ^^

Second :

- The Endless Day is every year, AFAIK. So if you can't change your computer's date, you still have the chance to complete the event next year, or the year after ...

- When you bought the game, you were told what the exact contents are. This was also delivered. There is no binding agreement regarding any future add-ons, nor should it be.

- Amplitude is nice to implement the G2G system, where people get to vote on what kind of stuff the developers invest their time in. I see this as a plus, not as something to get offended by.

- If you're really eager to get "everything", then just wait for a possible "Gold Edition" / "Complete Edition" / etc. (if it will ever come out ...). And do not enjoy this beautiful game in the meantime. If it makes more sense for you.

Hope you'll manage to see things in a more positive light.

If you have any other questions, the community can try to help you.

To confirm what Grzemek said (although "dude from Amplitude", really... you have my first name and forum handle to call me by, use either! smiley: stickouttongue ), we're definitely not going to sanction anyone not willing to wait for our anniversary celebrations to unlock Endless Day content.

As far as I am aware, there are no plans to include "Endless Day celebrations content" to the base game, considering that they're an incentive for the community to come together and play on the fateful 21st of January.

You can check the description of the game and it's extensions, there isn't anything about Endless Day Exclusives or it's content. So it appears you were not stolen by unscrupulous developers.

It's just a small bonus, a gift to the community, kindly brought to us by the dev team. And guess what? It's all free!

Now, you can either wait for the next Endless Day to come, or do the trick with your computer's clock. No one will ever know which choice you've pick.

But let's face it, this content is not a core part of the game. It's nice to have it, but it won't change nor improve your gaming experience.

Oh this guy's here too? He just got his Steam thread shut down by a dev for this same topic, smiley: lol.png" alt="smiley: smiley: lol" title="smiley: lol" />.

EDIT - Frogsquadron: with good reason. Let's not keep bumping it.
