Hello there!

I'm not sure but i think that Strategic Intensifier from Altar of Auriga doesn't work at all. I think it is supposed to give you 2x ammount of the strategic resource it's built on but for some reason after building it on let's say titanium it would give me 1 per turn anyway. Maybe it's important to mention that I've build the intensifier BEFORE building a a titanium extractor. Also is there any way to destroy said Intensifier or it's permanent? For example is it possible to destroy it so that i can build it on better quality strategic resource or if i built it on titanium i'll have to stick with it for the rest of the city existance?

Just as a note : depending on the selected game speed, you may get only 0.5 of strategic resources per turn ... thus doubling it to 1 per turn due to the Intensifier.

Are you sure you were getting 1 per turn per extractor before building the Intensifier ?

To be honest no, and i couldnt know since initially i thought it works just like an better extractor and didnt research extractors at all smiley: biggrin When i realised im getting 0 resources i researched extractors and placed them. Im was playing on normal speed.

You need to have resarched the appropriate tech, before you can begin mining a recourse. Say you place your strategic intensifier on a palladium recourse, if you don´t have the right tech, you still won´t be able to extract it. Same goes for luxury recourses, I believe.

Yes i figured that one out. The thing is im not sure if the bonus extraction applies if you build intensifier BEFORE the extractor.

In my experience, you can not put strategic intensifier on the tile that does not have extractor.



So you need to build extractor first, and then intensifier on top of it.

if you build any kind of district on a rescource you have the tech for you auto build an extractor so it shouldn't matter which one you build first

OP is right, I just checked the game from my thread about the Allayi and my Strategic Intensifier is not working because I planted it before unlocking the technology to extract it. I get 1.5 like a normal extractor. There´s even a save file in the thread. I built the Intensifier on turn 38->39 and got the tech on turn 42->43.



The intensifier cannot be built on top of an extractor, but you can delete extractors.

So basically if you build intensifier on resource before you have given tech it will bug out?
