Hey guys! Do i have a problem when prior to the quest (think it is faction quest nr 6) where mission is to build Guard Towers in each of your cities (these special guard towers that need pearls to build), when I already have built regular Guard Towers in all places that is pre-set for this? Is there an upgrade option some where, or some demolish option so i can build the right kind of Towers?

I won an Allayi quest victory and the special building you mention are actually not regular towers that can be upgraded. I can't remember its name because I've deleted the file. But the name of the special building mentioned in the quest instructions can be found in one of the Altar of Auriga techs (on the top right of the tech tree if I remember). You need to unlock this Altar tech to build it (assuming you also have enough pearls).

That's not the issue he's talking about at all. You missed the key phrase here,

Thoto knows how to build them. However, Thoto has no free space to build any of them.



I also have just come across the same problem as the Thoto. The first objective of faction quest "6. The Blood of Auriga" you're required to build one of the two defensive towers from the Altar of Auriga in each or your cities but here lies the problem. So the question is, what if you have already built upon all the foundations in the area with regular towers?



Then what? Like Thoto I can't figure out how to upgrade or demolish them so that they can be replaced with the required towers which leaves the following option. I basically have royally screwed myself from this unforeseen circumstance so now I need to raze the city that can't qualify for the quest requirements (even worse if this happens to be your only city).

View the Altar techs again. The "tower" quest is a city building, not a tower you build outside the city. What language are you running? Maybe the Quest text and Altar Tech description are not matching in your language.



Also, you can destroy any towers/mines etc. When you open the list of buildings already built in a city, you will see two lists. One for mines/towers, one for city buildings. You can destroy any of them. Comes in handy if you want to switch tower types.



Also, if you get the 2 extractor quest, and only have one level-1 resource, or if you have already built all extractors. Just build / destroy / build again, and the quest will complete.

No, the key word is not "tower" in the sense of regular towers. If the OP knew how to build them, all he had to do was find the Altar tech and build it instead of asking how to upgrade a completely unrelated building.

Just want to emphasize that Wards of Auriga is not a tower, but a City Improvement fortification.

Yeah, I just forgot about the buildings/expansions list and the scrap options, so all good, thx.
