I am playing my first game of Endless Legend with all DLC enabled. Can anyone tell me the meaning of a bright glowing orb over some ruins? I am not referring to the much dimmer glow you see over ruins marking a quest location.

That marks ruins that are point of interest for that quest.

if you finished your story questline it will be important otherwise its not that important.



although there is a chance that the AI triggers the armies that spawn from them and then you have a problem but that only ever happened once for me.

no need to worry about it I would say.

Well I have not finished my story questline (stuck on looking for roaming armies that seem to be no-where). If I did finish it why would the glowing orb location be important? Also what triggers aliens spawning from them?

there will be several ruins with the orbs above and you will need to search through several of these during the final questline. the armies will start spawning after a certain quest but i am not certain which one but it requires you to have an army nearby anyway so no real problem.
