Cultist and Mercenary Conforts

Hello there,

I haven't played the game in a while, and now that I have installed it again and I was messing with several custom builds, I found that the trait "Mercenary Conforts" has changed since last time I played. Now it says that decreases maintenance cost for privateers armies, does not apply to village spawned soldiers, Increase health for mercenaries, and increase movement for them too.

Before the change was an interesting addition to a custom cultist faction, but now looks like garbage to them.

Aparently it is very clear, but I am no english native speaker and the "does not apply to village spawned soldiers" effect it isn't really clear to me due to its position in second place in the description.

Does it completely avoid applying all effects to the village soldiers or just the first listed effect or just the last two?

As far as I can remember, Mercenary Comforts doesn´t apply to converted villages. I remember trying both cultist comfort and roving converts at two different moments, having forgot I had tried it once, and being largely disappointed both times.



ps- it must apply the moment you make the market transaction.

I'm afraid so - the bonus to converted units was a bug as these units are cult zealots, not paid mercenaries. As a result it doesn't make sense that the trait should apply to them. Also it was, as you noticed, disproportionately good for the Cultists smiley: sweat
