Fight on in the same battle with an ally?

I'm playing the game with my friend and we're in an alliance. However, even though my units are standing right next to his, when he goes into battle my units aren't a part of it. Is there any way to get both our units fighting in the same battle at the same time against an AI opponent?

I don.t think that.s possible.

I might be wrong though ...

Unfortunately, you can't. A friend and I just recently picked up Endless Legend, and the lack of co-op options is extremely disappointing. At the very least, I would like to see armies for your alliance members pulled in, as well as optional shared victory for alliances.

Shared victory conditions have been discussed already. As far as I understood, it would take some bigger changes to the game code, unfortunately...

I don't think they need any sort of complex system. All that really would be needed is that if a player wins, anybody they are allied with also becomes a co-winner.

With that said, it still does seem silly if your alliance owns 80%+ of the map and you can't win a combined expansion or supremacy victory.

You know, whenever I see someone tell a developer that something is easy when they say it isn't quite as easy as the other person is thinking, it makes me wonder why I never tell all those other so called 'professionals' like doctors, physicists and bio chemists to do the stuff that they say isn't easy too. What the heck do they know anyway, right?

Though I basically agree with you, I didn't write code for EL, so I don't know what the implications are for such a change...

I'd leave it to the actual developers to estimate how complex this is for them.

Never claimed it was easy or not easy. Just said they didn't need to implement a complex system, rather, something more basic would suffice.
