I recently started playing the game, and was messing around with some of the various factions. I started broken lords and enjoy the unique "dust" aspect of them.

However, I had a question about their quest rewards.

To start, I played Cultists first, and they get 2 really nice accessories from their questline. The broken lord quest line...the accessories, are they supposed to be a joke? The circlet isn't /terrible/ to start out with, but by mid/late game it's pretty much useless. The rest are a joke even if you got them early on. Is this supposed to be compensated by the unique buildings Broken Lords get? Or am I missing something with these accessories??

Ignore the title, I messed up typing that. I missed that my Infantry were "Fast" and was confused why my Hero had less movement in combat than the Stalwarts.

Cultists just have best accessories, simple as that.



I would say BL one is the next best. It is good enough to hire exclusively Broken Lords governors for the early game.



I do not remember any other factions giving anything significant.

The Broken Lords eventually get complete regeneration after each battle, which is HUGE. It severely weakens any attrition strategy against them.

IMO, an attrition war against Broken Lords generally doesn't work. There are many cases where you end a battle with more army HP than you had before starting it.

Yeah, I wasn't saying BL didn't get anything good from their questline, Just that their specific accessories seem kinda terrible except for the circlet, and that's really only good because you get it so early it's a very nice boost. Was just curious if I missed something with their accessories.



I love that full HP regen between battles, and yeah, with Stalwarts+Bishops they do tend to have better HP after a fight than before.

I also did the walkers, they get some pretty nice bows, only one I've found from random quests is the Nighthammer, which is also really good.



It's too bad there aren't better archery units from minor factions, not that the orcs are bad, there's just no real variety.
