Battle bugs?

Well. As time goes by, im realizing of some bugs of the battle system Endless Legend has. Sometimes, for instance, my units are next to another units and with no reason, they dont attack. They spend their turn looking at the stars and Ive lost many battles just because the units dont want to fight. Is this a bug? Or is it...??

a unit can only attack once in a battle per turn, a battle can be started when an enemy with a higher initiative attacks your unit first. so after that happens they can't move or select a target. initiative is a p good stat to lock down the enemy control.

Thank you, Meldity. But what the problem I have is that sometimes when my turn arrives, my units does not do anything (Although they had orders) and the fight continues...

Maybe I misunderstand you and you answered this. And the counterattack is considered as a movement??. Thank you again!.

There are a couple of ways your guys won't execute any orders:



1) They have been attacked in melee earlier in the round. In that case, they will counterattack at the time of the attack, and will be unable to attack again or move during the round.

2) They have "hold position" orders and are not in range of their target. (Although this is a little buggy atm, sometimes they move anyways.)

3) Their target (either nominated, or chosen by AI in the absence of a living target) cannot be reached by the unit-- it's surrounded by impassable terrain and/or units. I'm not sure whether to qualify this as a bug or not.



There may be other bugs that lead to units not executing their orders. If you can pinpoint additional causes, it's a good idea to make a thread in the tech support subforum.

One thin for sure is a bug, it is always reproducible.



If you give unit move and attack order, and when time for this unit come and there target is dead, then unit will move and not attack anyone, even there is a target in range, even if target the only enemy unit left.



That is clearly a bug, if unit move and can not attack intended target because target is dead it should attack any target in range.

As much as I dislike necroing threads, I want to add that I have also observed the behavior Mutineer describes. Furthermore, I recall my units at times not firing at all if they were on hold position stance, even if the enemy moved into range.

Agreed. If putting ranged units on hold, and then telling them to move, they will not attack units in range.

Hello, My name is Topher. I play the game ENDLESS SPACE_2 smoothly and firmly if not for occasional minor Lagging with framerate and reaction time response issues, i've set the game to be on the fastest performance as mentioned in options to reduce high graphics as much a s possible but to no avail. i seem to be having the same problem. Particularly to my '4-planet' home system [Ibany] in the game, i have two planetary anomalies [Garden of Eden, Kessler's Syndrome], regarding the "Garden of Eden"-IBANY IV planet, it has some kind of visual error due to its anomaly, whereby there are patches that open holes through the 3D image of the planet rendering a see-through effect, whereby IBANY III has no such visual error, and displays its 'KESSLER'S SYNDROME' stunningly, though the game is stable with respect to the other issues mentioned above, I love the game, but I'm not able to enjoy my gameplay completely to my satisfaction, I have sent screenshots of my gameplay as well as my system information, any feedback will be gratefully appreciated thank you.
