My favorite faction is the Vaulters and and I want to play as Mezari especially since their lore is connected with the Empire in Endless Space. Can someone tell me what I have to do to unlock them. Someone suggested that I may have to reinstall the game. Is that true? Or does it have to do with buying Dungeon of the Endless? Will someone please help me. This is really annoying me.

I believe they use to be to thise who bought doungeons of the endless but it was later added for all players. Before you reinstall, check the main menu screen that opens when you load the game. There is a set of content tab next to mods tab that lets you enable and disable specific content. My suspicion is that it is disabled for you, hemce the greyed out status.

On another note, i specificly know this because i disable them on pourpose. My reasoning is because i hate mirror matches. Therr is now a unique faction option in game settings that prevents duplicate empires.  This prevents you playing against day 3 necrophage players. However, because mezari are indetical to vaulters but still a unique faction you can still get both in game.g

By didaabling mezari in my games i limit them to one vaulter player per game. othewise i often get games with both which i dislike. i want all factions to be truely unique.

Thanks for the reply. Keeping Mezari greyed out is not an option for me... I'm very fond of the Vaulters but the Mezari hero is superior. Therefor, On my maps, I will allow the mirrored faction in this one special case... Even if it mean that in some games there will be civil wars. I must have access to the superior hero. Reinstalling game and seeing if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't I may have to seek answers about why the Mezari are missing for me from someone at Amplitude.

 I absolutely agree with your comment, and I too would like to disable the Mezari. How did you do this?
