This is a small feedback on the game and well an anecdote I wanted to share.

Everytime I introduced the game to a new person they ask me about one faction, just one, and it's the one they'll play the first time usually and the one -I- played the first time when I picked up the game.

The cultists.

I don't know how or why I just want to congratulate the concept artists and those who worked on the eerie animation on the race selection screen. There's something unique and attractive about that card and I think if you're able to make -everyone- all 4 people I introduced the game to ask me about the cultist. Then without a doubt or contest, you really invented something cool.

Hat's off to you, I would love to know who came up with the concept and how it came to be, because among all the faction in the game this is the one that's the most iconic to me, the most alien and original.

The first faction I played was Vaulters cause she had big boobs.

Also felt they would be the most standard faction and decided to pick them because I didn't want to confuse myself by getting used to some unique mechanic like Broken Lords or Forgotten

Endless Legend is the only game I've played where I can say I am *in love* with every single faction and that I find all of them iconic.

Imagine then my hesitation at killing any of them whenever I play the game...

Vaulters were the most human-like faction of the four in early access. And I think the most overlaping with another Endless games, so...

I went with the Cultists the first time.  I enjoyed the appearances of the cultists greatly, and always loved building massive single cities in 4x games.

First time in I went with the Drakken mainly because I like dragons.

Though if I were to recommend a first faction to a new player to try It'd probably the Wild Walkers as they are the faction with the least... quirks about them so people can get used to the base mechanics of the game without much faction specific things to add on to.

The danger of that is that because they are somewhat 'by the numbers', people may find the game rather bland when playing them. I'd probably direct folks to the Vaulters or possibly the Ardent Mages.

OK I have a soft spot for the AM faction.

The most iconic seems to be the Vaulters since they are connected to all the games and the timeline of the Endless universe.

But the most impressive to look at are the Cultists, certainly. The Allayi are new but also cool.

Actually, were we talking just the original factions or expansions included? A new player might not have all the DLC factions.

As the "poster boy" faction of the EL Game i would say are the Vaulters.
I am more the Drakken guy, but i still could try the cultist, i found them at beggining kinda goofy and creepy (goofy as in mechanic wise).

I'm a big fan of the Broken Lords myself.

They don't have as much trouble with finding good land to settle because they just need dust, Also really nice for winter due to most winters having a food penalty and the Broken Lords do not need food, just dust.
