Hi, question: is there any code/technique to reveal all map during the game or in the last turn of it?

If you ask why: I learn how to play this game, and I lost last game really fast - turn 71 A.I. won by science victory with 185 population. I had only 25 and I'm really curious how they did it, how they built their empire etc.

Till the end of this game I didn't even meet any other faction (huge world).

We have a bunch of cheat codes (revealing the map, getting lots of Dust, or Science and so on), but in our dev version only. smiley: zipper

Unfortunately, it could cause issues with the multiplayer (cheating but also desync issues and so on). We might be able to create a faction trait, like we had for the Amoebas in Endless Space but our list of improvements is already huge so I can't promise anything.

Maybe implement a simple chat based cheats system down the road? Like in the old days, hehe. smiley: biggrin

You can always send a couple of single units to auto explore the map early in the game, it really helps clear the fog of war.

I think that an option to reveal the map in the game end would be great... For example, right now I'm messing with the map generation options, and would like to see the resulting shape... Another interesting option would be to have the option of having the map, the region, or the region + neighbors, revealed at game start, as game options... Once again, very interesting to see how the different map generation options affect the map format...

abmpicoli, enable the modding tools, load one of your saves or start a new game, then type in the console "/LightMeUp" without quotation marks in order to reveal the entire map.

"/?" will show the list of all the cheat commands available.

Thanks! Have just done that, and it works... However, this doesn't fix the fact that it should be interesting to add that feature to the main game, just like the civilization's "just one more turn" feature during the endgame...
