I've checked with the artists and got confirmation that the Queen was not represented on any of the artworks published for the Cultists and neither was the Unspoken. The 4-armed legless lady is the faction's diplomat.

The Unspoken was said to look somewhat like a Marine in terms of bulk, but that's as far as details go.

As to why the Queen is not represented, I received various answers, so the official studio line will henceforth be the following: "the Cultist Queen remains shrouded in mystery. If non-Cultists ever saw her, none of them lived to tell the tale". smiley: stickouttongue

The initial spiel for the cultists is over here: /#/endless-legend/forum/7-archives/thread/3573-faction-creation-competition

It's not clear how much of that is still 'canon' after the subsequent rounds of the competition, and how much has changed in development, etc. Nosferatiel's initial pitch had the queen personally controlling all of her automatons, which doesn't seem to be the case any more, given what the 4-armed thing says in some of it's lines.

The description of the unspoken there is kinda brief, but it does also imply that it can talk, and is the one to drive their main quest onwards. It's name is more a reference to the forbidden techniques used to create it, ie: "It's that thing of which we don't speak."

But it is said that the Unspoken wanders Auriga, so that's unlikely. It seems more likely that the Queen is actually a super computer.

I thought the unspoken is that weird thing in the back ground of the cultist diplo screen (the weird spiky thing) something like a big computer in which all kind of different minds from the dead cultists around it are collected and fight for dominance.

We weren't exactly sure about this part since Slowhands, master of the lore and of Endless wisdom, isn't around this week (something something "Unity celebration tour"). Thanks for the quote! smiley: smile

Well, it kind of makes sense they wouldn't have their literal god work as their diplomat.

I think they are.

This guy: http://cdn3.dualshockers.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Endless-Legend-The-Broken-Lords.jpg

Is also this guy on the left: http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/endlesslegend.gamepedia.com/0/0b/BrokenLordsFactionQuest1.png?version=0905fb9285d76e7fdd07c94904a13833

Who is the narrator of the questline and the king (the guy on the right is probably Martin de Suluzzo).

As for the Drakken, I think he or she is a member of the Twelve.

Also, I'm hoping the Unspoken will have a cameo in Endless Space 2.

Also, I cannot t find the source but I'm certain it's not a fan fiction, Queen was actually created from most prominent Endless people, literally by combining their organs inside a huge tank, now called the "Throne". If someone could find the link or the source I would be grateful smiley: smile So it's really hard for her to move.

In case of Drakkens, their appearance in Diplo Screen also does not reflect the very top of the hierarchy. Drakken are ruled by a diarchy and there is only one in the screen.

I find it weird that I've found no art of either the Queen or the Unspoken, considering I keep hearing about them through the entirety of the Cultist campaign. Is there just no art of either of them anywhere, cause I kind of want to see what they look like.

Both are insane. It is said that the Queen is often heard screaming in her throne and mind violating her followers at random.

In fact, even Cultist heroes are often described as insane, like Andom the Seer who seems to suffer from schizophrenia.

The Cultists are quite...malkavian-like.

Pretty sure the diplomat can't be the Unspoken considering that it....speaks. Also, the Queen's supposed to be on her indestructible throne at all times, so I doubt that's her.

"In your example, the Queen is probably speaking in 3rd person. Keep in mind also that she is insane, as she is established to be, and will not necessarily speak coherently at all times."

I thought the Unspoken was supposed to be the insane one due to its multiple personality disorder.

Or the image shown is just to identify the faction and the people doing the actual talk are not the leaders themselves, because who has the time, right?

The characters we see in the diplomacy screen are the faction leaders, that we also see in the Faction selection screen and that we hear narrate their introductions. In addition, they are more often than not the protagonists and narrators of the faction questline. This is most certainly the case for the Wild Walkers, Ardent Mages, Broken Lords, Necrophages, Vaulters / Mezari, Forgotten, Roving Clans, and is also probably the case for the Drakken (a member of the Twelve, and most likely a female as we know male and female Drakken look very much alike physically). As such, I believe the Cultist character we see in the Faction selection screen to be the Queen, which is also corroborated by the first art I linked which shows up in the faction questline talking about the Queen.

That's not the Queen, that's the cultist diplomat. Apart from her not supposed to ever leave her throne, when you negotiate with her she makes a remark about how she would prefer if your compliments "Came from the Queen".

That's the Queen (she has no legs and can't move, hence why she is kept in that one city).

As for the Unspoken, very little is known about him. As far as I know, we don't know what he looks like.
