Hi, All!

I played by Wild Walkers and captured the city of Broken Lords but there are no any food producing from population (I have attached screenshots). I am knowing that Broken Lords have not producing food but this seems to me something strange that city keeps some properties from motherhood nation even if owner changed.

What is it? Is it bug or isn't?

P.S. Food from land is producing as you can see at screenshots ))

P.S.S So this is my first post here, that is why if another place is existing for same questions, please say me about this ))

Game config: original + guardians + shadows

HW Config: Core i5-4670K, 8GB Ram, ATI Radeon 5770HD 1GB VRAM, Intel 530 SSD.

There's a big thread discussing the issue here:

http://forums.amplitude-studios.com/showthread.php?81323-SHADOWS-Captured-broken-Lord-s-cities-population-give-no-food

To sum up, it is a feature in the game and not a bug, and it seems that most participants in that thread are not pleased with it.

That is really weird, according to the other thread you're either ruling a city of broken lords who now need food or a city of your citizens who can't farm because they're unhappy with your city's architecture.

What other factions' cities have have this sort of effect?

Disadvantage:

Broken Lords (No Food)

Forgotten (No Science?)

Advantage:

Any unique buildings that have been built remain (but if city hasn't built one you would not be able to)

Necrophages boroughs? (I'm not sure what happens. Either nothing happens and you can build 1 borough per 2 pop, or you can build 1 borough per pop, or the you can build 1 borough per 2 pop but the old boroughs only take 1 pop {e.g. pop 10 city with 8 boroughs built by Necrophages. After you take it you can build one more borough since you have 2 extra pop.})

Anything I missed or confirmation of my guesses above?

The rule for boroughs placement just changes, if the necrophages city was very wild at building them, you just won't be able to place them for a while.

it looks like you still get the food from the surrounding lands but your citizens can't produce food because there isn't any "farmland" because brokenlords don't need farmland.

its like they need to build the entire framland.

does this remain like this for the entire game or does it go away after a certain amount of time or after you get a new explotation tile?

When I capture a Broken Lord or Forgotten city I basically just destroy every improvement that costs maintenance, put everyone on dust and let it change ownership - once it finishes I raize the city and re-settle it either in the same spot or a better one if there is one. I just find it not worth the hassle. The only exceptions for me are incredibly well developed cities that either have a wonder or a lot of "one per faction" buildings that I have already built. Those are pretty powerful if you can accumulate them via conquest.
