The Mezari are unlocked to players who own both Endless Legend and the Founder/Crystal pack of Dungeon of the Endless. There was an issue in the past (that we have fixed) that unlocked the special skin to players who didn't meet the requirement. Therefore, if you don't own the Crystal pack DotE on Steam, it's "normal" that you can't play as a Mezari.
