I would like to know what happens when choosing some difficultys, difficult, serious, impossible, endless.

Is just the AI better, or AI get some more advantages ? If yes, what they are.

AFAIK, the AI gets some advantages which are considered "cheating".

The devs are planning to address this in a future patch / patches.

It's not complete, but basically they scale up from hard onwards. If you're interested in the why, I suggest you read this discussion on the AI, where willbefast expands on the difficulties of making an AI behave in a "smarter way" and why most games just go for the bonus differential.
