How can I see what buildings were already built in a city?

I am finally giving up and just asking.

I am sure this is an obvious button somewhere on the screen but I can't find it. How can I see which buildings have been built in a city?

Beneath the happiness and pop growth meters of the city, there is a "browse" button where you see all the improvements that the city has (and where you can destroy them if you so wish).

I had the same issue as the OP and I do have to say that needs to be more obvious. I took a good while to find it myself. Logic would suggest that it be somewhere along the bottom of the city screen close to the build options.
