endless legend is one of the best 4x games, so please release it also on GOG.

matter what absolutely will not buy it on steam, because of always online stuff.

do sticking to them only is worth losing customers, and no need to put it on the social part.

Galaxy is awesome, and galactic civilizations, age of wonders, pillars of eternity, divinity original sin, already on board.

Just so you know, you only have to be online long enough to set Steam to offline mode.

That being said, Endless games on gog.com sounds pretty cool to me.

While branching out with other means of online distribution is something we're always keeping in mind, we're not planning to offer our games on GoG in the near future.

Steam is for now the most convenient way for us to both distribute our games and to keep them updated with the latest content and patches, thus Steam, considering the way we keep supporting our games after release, is a big plus for a small studio.

This said, we're keeping an eye on all opportunities. smiley: smile

So once Galaxy releases, chances of releasing Endless Legend on GOG should increase dramatically.

I already use Galaxy. It has made GOG.com far more user-friendly, as I don't have to constantly check and make sure there hasn't been another update for AoW3 (for example).

My understanding is that every game that gets released anywhere gets massively pirated, but I haven't researched the issue heavily.

Pretty much anywhere. There was some suggestion that Steam games might see slightly less piracy (particularly if it is a game that gets lots of frequent updates). This is due to the fact that you keep having to wait for patch updates from the pirates to get the latest version.

The REAL reason that devs usually stick with Steam though, is that creating different patch versions for different digital platforms is a headache. And you'll notice that GOG gets patches after Steam versions pretty much all the time. AoW 3 is a good example. All the beta testing and updates come out first on Steam.

Galaxy will hopefully address this problem. I actually thought it was officially released already.
