Suggestions for Future Patch Updates

Hi,

I just bought the EL series during the Steam Winter Sale and I must say that this is quite an interesting game. The lore is amazing and map zoom levels are sp useful. There are so many aspects of the game that I love. E.g. Automatic building of the roads when you get the Imperial Highways.

There were some things that were a bit difficult for me and I decided to post it here in the hope that it could be available in future patch updates.

1. Finding the City Centre

While zoomed in, I have difficulty differentiating between a City Centre and its adjoining districts. The Burroughs look extremely similar to the City Centre. Is there a way to have the City Centre stand out a bit more?

2. Luxury Boosters

6 Strategic Resources are already plenty and 15 boosters are quite tedious to manage. The boosters rarely combo with other aspects such as Technology or Dust. The boosters are also random, so you work with what you are given. For example, I may not want Wine (+30 Approval) at all. Is it possible to add an option to convert the Luxury resource into Technology, Influence Points or be tied into the Empire's Plan? I would prefer tying it into the Empire's Plan as then I would no longer need to reassign workers to Influence Points.

3. Combat Simulators

I love your combat. I was wondering if there's a way to create combat simulations that you can play outside of the main game. That way you can practise combat strategy. If there isn't, perhaps a patch update?

Things I'd like to see as a new player but a 4x/TBS veteran:

1: Strategic map movement animation sped up.

2. Ranged units nerfed a bit - they are a bit too strong once upgraded - relative to melee units.

3. Some sort of zone of control to boost slower melees.

4. Strategic map movement multipiers nerfed a bit - in late game the multipliers can add up in such a way that some units can basically move halfway across the map in one turn.

@op

2. You can sell luxury goods you don't want in the market. Or use them diplomatically.

Also note that you only have all 15 luxury resources in a single game if you play with the larger map sizes; in smaller map sizes, only a random subset will appear.

(And even if all of them are in the map, you will probably only have deposits for about 5-8 different ones in your territory.)
