Stuck on Wild Walkers quest - bug?

Ok, I'm at a loss.

Playing with the Wild Walkers, I was aiming for a Wonder victory, everything was going well... until this quest. Quest 8 - "To Rival the Endless".

The game wants me to build something called the Ogmakwan, or the improvement that builds it, or whatever, the wording isn't clear at all, but it doesn't matter for the simple reason that whatever it is I'm supposed to build, it's simply missing. It's not available for construction anywhere, regardless of where I have that Zaltana fellow assigned and everything else I've tried.

I can see the Era 4 tech "The Ogmakwan" unlocked and researched, but the building itself is nowhere to be found.

I've been trying to get this to work since yesterday, I've googled it to hell and back and there's no answer out there, I'll probably just call quits on that game and start a new one but I'd like to try asking here beforehand, it'd really suck not to win that game as I put a lot of time into it and have basically been halted by what looks like a game breaking bug.

Any ideas?

Maybe you could upload a save game? You can attach files directly to your messages on this forum; your save games should be in [documents]/Endless Legend/Save Files.

You already have the Omgakwan built, in Dhoyach, which explains why it's not showing up anywhere; it's a one-per-empire building.

It doesn't explain why the quest didn't advance, though. There may be some quest requirements that aren't clearly stated, regarding Zoltana's presence or its placement in your capital; there may be a bug of some sort.

I destroyed the Omgakwan in Dhoyach, reassigned Zoltana to your capital, and built the Omgakwan there, and it properly advanced the quest. I'm attaching the autosave, just in case you want to use it to continue your game. You can destroy buildings by selecting a city, hitting "browse" on center top, selecting an improvement, and clicking the destroy button, if you'd rather fix it on your own (I did a buyout after a couple of turns, just to make it faster).

Holy crap, thanks.

This actually explains everything. That city isn't originally mine, it was the capital of a Wild Walkers AI I destroyed, which I guess explains why it hasn't advanced the quest - the sort of rare occurrence the devs haven't accounted for, I suppose.

I looked in my own cities to see if I had accidentally built that thing somewhere (although I was sure I'd have remembered it), it didn't occur to me to check in that city.

Brilliant, thank you so much.

Glad to be of some use; glad that the mystery of quest advancement is explained. Have fun finishing your game!
