Just asking any long time player with some decent game knowledge if the Ended hero or the new SoM hero are worth getting compared to the well liked Drakken heroes and the like for combat.



Oh and are the Forgotten heroes any good as combat heroes? Their theme tells me not really, but I'm just wondering.

I have yet to try the SoM hero, but the Ended hero is great based solely on the fact that he is flying. It means he can lead flyer strike teams with unparalleled mobility. On top of that, his unique abilities are quite powerful. I still don't think he is as powerful as Drakken heroes (the starting one especially), but he fills a role that no one else can.



As for Forgotten heroes being good in combat. It is my impression that they are, since they can dual wield powerful unique weapons, gaining insane attack and damage.

I haven't had a good chance to test out the SoM hero in practice, but it should be a good hero in very particular circumstances-- vs Necrophage or AM.

I used it offline as a secondary Necro general to great effect, but I don´t think I´d use it online, she is very specific.

I haven't had a chance to play-test the SoM hero but the Ended hero is pretty solid as a very mobile hero with some decent abilities.



Forgotten heroes make good generals if you gear them and invest skill points into the right trees (namely their class and common trees). Their faction skills are primarily for espionage and Dust acquisition. You'll need to stack some initiative on them as they tend to be slower than the units they're with but they can mete out some punishment and take a few hits when geared well.

i got the sisters of mercy hero and i don't really know what to think about it.

she has a nice ability which makes it impossible to get negative food and dust income on a city.

but the best is probably her blessing ability which is and AoE support ability (target friendly unit and all surrounding friendly units) that adds debuff immunity (includes disease) and can heal up to 30% of the affected units health.

and she has a passive that increases health regen by 15% on armies (or heal up to 15% a turn not certain).
