I bought this game yesterday. I thought that as a Civilization player I could enjoy it. However I only managed to play through the tutorial to find one huge issue. The font size is too small. I can read it but it causes eye strain. It makes the game unplayable for me. I know that there's option for bigger UI but for some reason that only works for 1900x1080 and bigger resolutions. So I can't use it. Why is it limited like that?



Is there any other way to increase the font size? Some option I missed? Mods? Please help. I really want to play this game.

I am using an 1440p monitor and both the "regular" and "big UI" options work for me, though I prefer the former.

What resolution are you using ? What.s your (physical) screen size ?

1680x1050 and 22"

Could you bump that to 1080p and then try the "big UI" option ?

My 1440p is on an 32in monitor and I am really happy with the DPI (also in Windows at 100% scaling).

Ok. So I found somewhat ok solution for this problem. I managed to change my desktop resolution in nvidia control panel to higher than my native resolution. This of course mean that my game is running at higher resolution and I can enable the big UI option. Now I can read comfortably. That being said I find it really odd that you need to go through all this hassle just to enable the option you need the most.



This is how you change your resolution beyond your native resolution. Just in case someone is interested.

Nvidia control panel -> change resolution -> customize -> create custom resolution -> put in desired resolution under display mode -> under timing change automatic to manual but don't change other values. That's it. Of course you need to change your resolution every time you enter and exit the game.
