I am playing as Ardent Mages and I can not form a new army with the settler unit I build.



Is there some unwritten/hidden rule for Ardent Mage settlers?

How many units in your army? Have you hit the limit? (It goes up based on tech).



Have you tried both adding the settler to the army or the army to the settler? Sometimes I've found I can do one but not the other.

I guess you still got an army staying on your city-centre and blocking the settler to leave city/form a new army !?!

If yes, then move it (the blocking army) away (one field), form new army with your settler and unite it with the other army, or move it away !
