I'm still pretty new. Getting started, I'm restarting a LOT of games for getting worthless starting territories. It would be wonderful if there was an option to save my game settings so I don't have to select them over and over. Most of the settings save, but not the selected opponents. It's a worthy QoL improvement both for this, and for upcoming games like ES2.

The way I see it, the game computes the "world" based on a seed. If we could see and edit this seed before starting the game, then it would be nice.

OTOH, having a pure random world generating every time would be a gain for "replayability" (yes, I know this is not a word). Seeing yourself in a bad starting position is IMO an added incentive to win this game ! ^^

I noticed that too, but I guess the difference between the opponent settings and other settings is that you don't want to save them the all the time. Therefore its probably a bit more complex.



And while I agree, starting from a bad position can be challenging and fun, sometimes you just get a boring position and want to start over because of that. Doesn't matter if the position is good or bad.

Perhaps a better idea would be to save the settings which were used for the last game.

Then, when you want to start a new game, you get those settings back automatically, along with a "Reset" button, to start from scratch.

What do you guys think ?
